I study substance use and related health conditions (substance use disorders, overdose, mental illness, HIV), with a current focus on digital media as a tool for monitoring trends and delivering interventions.

I have a PhD in Global Public Health from the University of California, San Diego & San Diego State University, an MPH from the University of Washington, and an AB from the University of Chicago. I've lived in France, Portugal, Brazil, and Mexico and I'm originally from Buffalo, New York.
